Welcome to my blog! My name is Alexander Mashkov. I was born and currently live in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
I have traveled and lived in many places, including Russia, but I started this blog while living in Dushanbe. Therefore, most of the posts on the site are related to Tajikistan, which is a good thing because of the mountains.
I spent most of my professional career working in personal security (bodyguard). I had the opportunity to provide security for heads of state, major businessmen in different countries. However, everything comes to an end eventually, and as I got older, I left the security field. I believe that this kind of work is better suited for younger people.
It would have been logical for me to move into some kind of managerial or other position in the same security field, start my own security business, or just use the connections I had made to go into business. But that requires abilities and, most importantly, desire. I decided that this was no longer for me.
And so, here I am, blogging. By the way, I had never done activities such as mountain hiking, blogging, photography, video, or writing, especially fiction, before, but I found all of this very interesting. So I started, of course, by learning, trying, and making mistakes.
I cannot judge the end result, but I enjoy this kind of activity, and I hope you will enjoy it too.
