I can't say exactly how many waterfalls there are in Gusgarf, but the most famous ones are two waterfalls: "Pioneer" and "Eagle's Nests". Well, officially, these waterfalls are called the Big Gusgarf Waterfall and the Echo Waterfall, respectively. However, I have been to these waterfalls even three times, as I found another one, let's say, unnamed but quite decent waterfall. I visited these waterfalls at different times, and it was interesting to see how these waterfalls look in spring, when there is a lot of water. So, when spring came, I went to see the waterfalls in Gusgarf.
It's great to hike in the spring, it's fresh. Therefore, I almost didn't stop and walked through all these waterfalls. Besides, it's extremely difficult to rest near the waterfalls at this time of the year because there is a lot of water and the splashes go in all directions. While I was taking pictures and trying to get closer, I had to step back immediately because I would get soaking wet in a couple of minutes. And it's very cold, like some kind of icy breath of the waterfalls. I didn't even think about swimming.
Here's the route I followed to get to the waterfalls in Gusgarf, one after the other.
Speaking of waterfalls, when I climbed the Pionersky pass, I saw another waterfall, which is usually not there in summer. Well, maybe there is, it just doesn't strike the eye, at least I haven't seen him before.
So, the first small waterfall bears the proud name "Nameless".
My first trip to this waterfall is possible " see here".
The unknown of this waterfall is easily explained by the fact that it is completely invisible from the path, and from nowhere, if you do not know that there is a waterfall, you can safely walk by. Here is a place in the photo where the trail goes up to the waterfall 50 meters, that is, it is not visible at all and is not visible from above either.
I went to him along the river bed, that time I was in Gusgarf for the first time and therefore at first thought that this was a big waterfall. Then he figured that there was no way to get thirty meters.
From the bottom of the waterfall everything is raging.
In addition to the fact that the waterfall is not visible from the trail, pay attention to how the water has cut its way, almost through. No wonder the waterfall can't be seen from anywhere.
Here is such a waterfall "Nameless".
The next waterfall on my way is the Big Gusgarf waterfall or, in other words, the Pionersky waterfall. Last hike to this waterfall can be "see here".
What can I say, in the spring, when there is a lot of water, this waterfall is really impressive. I see no reason to describe it - it is better to see once than hear a hundred times.
I'll start at the top, that's where I came from and immediately went to the upper cascade. The mountains are green, beautiful. The river seems to be as small or just, it seems.
And the waterfall looks different from above, that is, it is very different from what I saw being here last time.
Got as close as possible to shoot from above.
At this time there were many snakes, the first I met when I began to descend to the waterfall, I was lying right on the path, or rather across it. I even thought it was a dead snake, but no, I look, the tongue shows me. I didn't bother her and walked a little higher. I walked around, and of course I looked at this snake, and not where I was going. And further, on the trail, there are more snakes and more than one, they have spring, love, they are there already in a ball and I hike, stepped on one a little. I had to retire very quickly and there was no time for photographs, it's a little pity that I didn't take a picture of this ball, but they didn't bite.. :)
Escaping from the snakes, I had to get off the path, and I was already going down the stream, which, by the way, is absent in summer. Here is the first photo of a waterfall from this stream.
Pionersky waterfall in full height, when approaching it.
Close up, photography, of course, will not convey the noise, sensations that arise here. Yes, and a kind of wet cold blows from the waterfall.
And where is that cozy pond that was here once. In the spring it looks like this.
Polyanka, near the waterfall. I remember that I had a great time here, bathed, drank tea, now I can only dream of this. Even standing there is dreary, you will immediately get wet.
But I still got a little closer, I wanted to remove the waterfall from below. No, I didn't get into the water, to get wet it was enough to just stand for a couple of minutes, the most unpleasant thing is that it's terribly cold. An unusual phenomenon because, in general, it is warm. Well, I got there somewhere. The first photo, still normal, but the rest are already cloudy from water dust.
I took these photos while climbing from the waterfall back to the trail.
I have already taken these photos while on the trail with different distances. In principle, the waterfall is the same, just different framing turned out.
From this path I photographed.
This is, as it were, an extreme photo of the Pionersky waterfall, it is already difficult to see it, then, I will go behind the rib, and it will no longer be visible. As you can see in the photo, the trail is no longer there, in the previous couloir it goes down to the river and further to the kishlak. I didn’t go along it so as not to lose altitude, as I still need to go to the Eagle's Nests waterfall. The slope looks like it is difficult to pass, but no, it went quite calmly.
The last but not the last waterfall "Eagle's Nests". This is the last of those waterfalls that I wanted to see how they look in spring when there is a lot of water.
So, here it is, the "Eagle's Nests" waterfall in the spring, as anyone, but I really liked it, especially when compared with " last visit".
These are the things going on at the bottom of the Eagle's Nest waterfall.
Waterfall close up. A riot of elements right, if you stand here alive, noise, wind, spray...
I tried to wander around in order to shoot from different angles, it turned out how it happened. Because he always stayed in the river bed. To get up and take pictures from the slope, as I did last time, I simply had no strength. It was the end of the day and the third waterfall, and, to be honest, I liked it from here too.
Here is such a beautiful waterfall "Eagle's Nests", Gusgarf, Varzob gorge, mountains of Tajikistan.
This is where I finish talking about the trip to the waterfalls in Gusgarf in the spring.
And ahead of May, summer, autumn, and hundreds of amazing and beautiful places in Tajikistan are waiting for us, where I, and accordingly, you, still have to visit.
