The first hike of the year, I decided to go to the waterfalls in the Voru Gorge in Odjukskie Mountains, Varzob district, Tajikistan. Previously, I called it the Lost Waterfall. Of course, no one lost this waterfall, but it needed a name, so why not call it Lost? I had already seen it a couple of times before, once when we descended from the ridge that lies between Takob and Odjuk on this hike: Crossing from the Begar Gorge to Odjuk. At that time, I thought I should go to this waterfall, and the convenient moment finally arrived. I also thought it was the only one there, but there were other waterfalls, though smaller.
This Lost waterfall is not located too far away, but the way to it is quite tricky. If you don't know exactly where it is and how to get there, you can easily get lost and wander around in futile searches for a long time. In my case, I knew exactly where it was, but I didn't know how to get there, so I had to wander and climb around in places I didn't understand. But that's exactly how I stumbled upon one of the waterfalls. There is no harm without benefit, and in general, given the fact that it's almost impossible to get lost in Odjuk and that I enjoyed wandering around, I spent my time very entertainingly. ...
I went on a hike on February 26, in Odjuk there is still snow in some places.
Following the logic and Google maps, I decided that the path to the waterfalls of the Voru Gorge goes from the third bridge. But as is the case in the mountains, the obvious path is not always the most optimal.
Climbing this hill, it becomes, you can see the waterfall, everyone knows it, so it is not what you need, so one photo from it is enough.
I went further along the path, which, to my surprise, was clearly not walked, which was a little puzzling, given the proximity of the housing.
I got to the fork and went to the right.
I have already wandered here once and I remember the trail goes along the left slope. The photo shows that she is slightly guessed.
But then she completely disappeared, and it began, after a while I realized why the locals did not go here. There are no photos from this site, because I had to remove the camera and literally wade through the thickets and completely impassable path. But in the end, having overcome all the difficulties, I went straight along the river to this place.
It was then that the first waterfall of the Voru gorge met me, it is not visible from anywhere, and it is very difficult to approach.
The waterfall is small, about eight meters, but as they say with a twist, there is a small drop in the middle and the photo may not transmit, but from this drop the water flows in a stream.
It is also so overgrown, in the summer it probably looks interesting.
Further, to the left of the waterfall, I went upstairs, just the path along which I was walking became visible.
And further, another waterfall appeared, in the photo, however, it is hard to see.
Given the relief, the camera had to be removed again, but here I became a scientist and walked over.
And so, along the top I went to the second waterfall.
There are still icicles not all melted.
This is the second waterfall in the Voru gorge, this one is already larger than the first, I filmed it from different angles, but did not go down to it, since it was not the goal of this trip.
Suddenly, there was a path, I did not shoot it on purpose, but you can see it in this photo.
Following the path, I climbed to the top of the waterfall.
And then an incident happened again, the path along which I was walking split in two, one led up, the other went down. I went along the lower one, and only in the snow-covered area, it became clear that people did not walk along this path.
I went straight up the slope to the path that went up, you can see it a little in the photo.
This path, too, turned out to be not so obvious, since it also led me into some kind of jungle, but, nevertheless, led me to this wonderful meadow.
Such a rock hangs over it and makes this place somehow fenced, but at the same time light and cozy.
From the clearing you can already see the waterfall in the Voru gorge.
Where I immediately went.
This waterfall is already fifteen meters, maybe more. The waterfall greeted me with a rainbow, a good sign, probably for money ...
Came closer, a beautiful waterfall, I don't know if this is visible from the photo, but I really liked it.
The top of the cliff, trees and the place is still some good, at least that's how I felt.
At first I thought to have a halt here in the clearing and have lunch, but to clear my conscience I decided to go upstairs, suddenly some more waterfalls would be discovered. Here I am just on the rock that hangs over the clearing.
The waterfall from above, did not descend closer, firstly, the descent did not inspire confidence. Secondly, it has already worked itself out.

By the way, here it remains, quite, to climb a little to the path along which we descended in the already mentioned hike. But I didn't really want to go up in the snow.
Back I walked exclusively along the top, and there was a good path, well-trodden. Here she can be seen on the side of the mountain. That is, I went to the waterfall where no one usually walks, I don't even know if it's good or bad.
From above and the views are more interesting, here the opposite slope is visible, it's good that it didn't go there, everything is covered in snow, you can go through it, but it's inconvenient.
So I went on horseback to the road in Oвjuk.
All the best to you and see you soon on the pages of my blog.
